Teaching Food Safety and Food Security Through an Economic Lens

These two 5-week online courses will introduce teachers to the MCEE Global Food Challenge’s Food Safety and Food Security Units. Participants can register for both or just one of the online courses. Consisting of both self-paced and synchronized online learning activities, each course addresses important issues in food safety and food security and demonstrates how economics can be used to analyze these issues. Teachers will also learn skills for teaching content and ways to engage students in discussing and debating the issues through research.
