In collaboration with the Institute for Globals Studies' African Studies Initiative and the Carlson School of Management, MCEE is offering a workshop on April 22, 2017, from 10 am-3:00 pm for teachers wishing to learn how to integrate more African content into their economics curriculum. Dr. Tade Okediji from the University of Minnesota Department of Applied Economics will start with an overview of economies of sub-Saharan Africa and the remainder of the workshop will be lead by Minnesota high school teacher, Tracy Townsend, who developed a lengthy unit on Economies of Africa.
